Mortgagor

In Jamaica, a mortgagor is an individual or entity who borrows funds from a lender, such as a bank or financial institution, to acquire real estate. The mortgagor pledges the property itself as collateral for the loan, meaning the lender holds a legal claim over the property until the loan is fully repaid.
