    FSBO Policy

    What is FSBO?

FSBO stands for “For Sale By Owner,” which means that a property owner sells their property directly without engaging a real estate agent or broker. Many property owners choose this route to avoid paying commissions to agents.

    Does Jamaica Homes Allow FSBO?

No, Jamaica Homes does not allow FSBO.

    Why is FSBO Not Allowed?

The decision to disallow FSBO listings stems from the importance of maintaining professionalism, accuracy, and compliance with legal requirements.

    1. Legal Compliance: Selling property involves numerous legal checks and processes that require the expertise of a licensed agent.
    2. Verification: Licensed agents ensure all property details are accurate and legitimate, reducing risks for buyers and sellers.
    3. Transaction Security: Agents are trained to manage negotiations, contracts, and documentation, which minimizes the chances of complications or disputes.

Guidelines for Licensed Real EstaEstate Agents

If you are a licensed real estate agent uploading a property for sale:

    • Contact our web team at office@jamaica-homes.com with your registration details.
    • Once your credentials are verified, your listing will be made live.
    • Follow all applicable MLS rules and confirm with your broker that you are authorized to list the property on Jamaica Homes.

Note: This verification process applies only to your first listing. Subsequent listings will not require additional confirmation.

    Rental Listings on Jamaica Homes

    • Property Owners: You can list your property for rent directly on the platform at no upfront cost.
    • Licensed Agents: Only licensed agents and brokers are permitted to list rental properties on behalf of others.
