Kingston, Jamaica, 22 June 2026
A Jamaican digital marketing agency has opened the island’s first volumetric studio, a facility for live and virtual production, with help from a $40-million grant from the Development Bank of Jamaica.
State Minister in the Ministry of Industry, Investment and Commerce Delano Seiveright toured the Adtelligent Limited studio recently and praised the company as an example of the Government’s drive to modernise Jamaica’s digital and creative industries.

Grant-funded growth
The DBJ grant allowed the company to buy essential equipment, including computers and cameras, and to build a dedicated team of about 30 people. Adtelligent also received a UNESCO grant for cultural creativity.
The studio project is expected to bring in close to $100 million a year. Alongside the volumetric set-up, the facility includes a control room and a soundproofed room with double seals and double doors.
The agency offers photo and video production, design and animation, social media management, web development, marketing strategy and data analytics.
From US$10,000 to regional player
Adtelligent opened in 2018 with an investment of US$10,000. Mr Seiveright described it as one of the country’s leading marketing and digital agencies, with facilities he said could hold their own against boutique firms in major international cities.
He encouraged other Jamaicans to follow the company’s lead, saying the Ministry and its agencies are available to help businesses grow.
Chief Executive Officer and founder Craig Powe welcomed the visit and said the next steps include switching the equipment to solar power and bringing more corporate clients on board to produce and export video content from Jamaica.
What it means for small businesses
The story shows how development-bank grant funding can move a small firm into a larger, higher-earning operation. For entrepreneurs, it is a reminder that support exists beyond conventional bank loans.
The plan to add solar power is also a reminder that electricity costs weigh on businesses as heavily as on households. As creative and digital firms expand and hire, they add to demand for modern office space and for housing near where their staff work.
