Holy Trinity Cathedral

Holy Trinity Cathedral, located on North Street in Kingston, Jamaica, was built to replace the original Holy Trinity Church, which was destroyed in the 1907 earthquake. Completed in 1911, the Cathedral was designed in the Byzantine Revival style by New York architect Raymond F. Admiral.

The Cathedral’s most prominent feature is its 85-foot-high copper-covered dome, which is a recognizable landmark in Kingston. As the seat of the Anglican Diocese of Jamaica and the Cayman Islands, it has played a significant role in the city’s spiritual and cultural life, hosting important religious ceremonies and national events.

Over the years, the Cathedral has undergone several renovations to preserve its architectural integrity, and it continues to serve as a vital religious and cultural landmark in Kingston.
