About Constant Spring
Constant Spring is one of Kingston’s most prestigious northern suburbs, set in the lower foothills of the Blue Mountains where the climate is noticeably cooler and fresher than downtown. Named after the constant freshwater springs that once flowed from the hills above, the area developed as an upscale residential retreat in the late colonial era. Today it is home to the historic Constant Spring Golf Club — one of Jamaica’s oldest golf courses — and a long strip of retail, restaurant, and commercial activity along Constant Spring Road, one of Kingston’s primary arterial routes. The area attracts professional families, diplomats, and returning Jamaicans who want space, greenery, and proximity to north St Andrew’s premier schools and amenities, while remaining 20 minutes from New Kingston and 15 minutes from Half Way Tree.
