    Stakeholder engagement

Stakeholder engagement is all about talking to and working with the people who care about or will be affected by a project. In Jamaica, this means talking to local people, landowners, government workers, and other groups who might be impacted by what’s happening, like building a new road or house. It’s really important to listen to these people from the start, so you understand what they need, what they’re worried about, and what they expect. By doing this, you can avoid problems later on and make sure the project follows the rules. In Jamaica, the way you work with stakeholders might be different than in other countries because every place has its own set of rules and ways of doing things. But no matter where you are, the idea is the same: if you include the people who matter and keep them in the loop, the project is more likely to go smoothly. If you don’t talk to the right people, you could face surprises or delays, and that could cause big problems. So, keeping everyone informed and making sure they’re happy with what’s happening is a big part of making any project a success, whether it’s in Jamaica or anywhere else in the world.
