Yahweh is the personal name of God revealed in the Hebrew Bible, traditionally represented by the four Hebrew letters YHWH. The name is closely associated with God’s eternal existence, faithfulness and covenant relationship with His people.
In many English Bibles, Yahweh is written as “LORD” in capital letters out of reverence for the divine name. It refers to the God of Israel, whom Christians also worship as the one true God.
