Prime Minister Andrew Holness has called on developers to build homes that can withstand Category 5 hurricanes, as the $9 billion Rozelle Estate scheme breaks ground in St Thomas with over 800 units backed by the NHT.

The Housing Agency of Jamaica plans 2,134 new housing starts and 674 solutions for market in 2026/27, spanning St. James, St. Catherine, Trelawny, and St. Andrew — alongside 250 land title handovers.
