KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission says elevated turbidity is affecting some water systems in St Ann and Portland, disrupting normal production in parts of the north east.
The advisory, issued October 15, said recent rainfall had increased sediment levels at affected sources, forcing operational adjustments at some facilities.
Customers served by the affected systems may experience reduced pressure or interruptions while water quality conditions are monitored. NWC did not give a single restoration time covering all affected areas.

Normal operations are expected to resume as turbidity falls to levels that can be treated safely. Customers were advised to monitor official service notices for local updates.
