Just cool, boss

“Just cool, boss,” meaning “relax” or “calm down” in Jamaican Patois, is a common phrase used to de-escalate tension or reassure someone. On a building site, a worker might use it to soothe a project manager concerned about deadlines, saying, “Just cool, boss, di tiles ago finish on time.” An agent dealing with a nervous client eager for updates could offer reassurance by saying, “Just cool, boss, mi deh pon it, and everything a go sort out fi di closing.” During renovations, a contractor could advise a homeowner stressed about delays, “Just cool, boss, di materials reach tomorrow, and wi ago pick up di pace.” The phrase embodies a relaxed, confident approach, often necessary to manage the challenges and pressures of real estate transactions and property development, creating a sense of ease amidst the natural hustle.
