KINGSTON, Jamaica — Customers in sections of St Andrew are without water after heavy rainfall increased turbidity and disrupted operations at the National Water Commission’s Isaac Hole facility, the utility said on Saturday, October 24, 2026.
The affected areas include Lawrence Tavern, Claypole Road, Burnt Shop, Unity and Top/Bottom Track, according to the NWC advisory.
NWC said water supply will resume as soon as conditions at the facility improve. No definite restoration time was given. Customers were encouraged to use available supplies conservatively.
For further information, NWC can be contacted at 888-225-5692.
Detailed shot of an elevated water storage tank on a worn, wooden platform, showcasing the tank's weathered, galvanized steel design with rusty accents, and the network of pipes and valves that supply water to the home, set against a warm, golden hour sky with subtle, atmospheric haze, captured in a cinematic film still style, reminiscent of the works of cinematographer Emmanuel Lubezki, with a mix of the gritty realism of filmmakers like Denis Villeneuve and the nostalgic, film grain aesthetic of 35mm film, incorporating a subtle vignette and nuanced color grading, evoking a sense of drama and epic scope
