KINGSTON, Jamaica — The National Water Commission (NWC) has announced a planned water supply interruption in sections of Portland on Sunday, October 25, 2026, to allow urgent repairs to a 12-inch pipeline in Red Hassel.
The interruption is scheduled from 4:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m. and will affect Port Antonio, Red Hassel Road, Waine Road, Pleasant Hill, Boundbrook and surrounding areas.
NWC has advised customers to store sufficient water ahead of the interruption. Its repair teams will aim to restore normal service by the projected 6:00 p.m. completion time, although this is a target rather than a confirmed restoration.
